The family of George Floyd is unhappy because Kanye West "defames the deceased."

George Floyd's family is going after Kanye West with a claim over 'slander of the dead.'

The 45-year-old rapper has harmed the feelings of the departed's family in the wake of saying that Floyd passed on from fentanyl.

Going to his Twitter account Lee Merritt, the family's attorney expressed: "While one can't stigmatize the dead, the group of #GeorgeFloyd is thinking about suit for Kanye's bogus assertions about the way of his demise."

"Asserting Floyd kicked the bucket from fentanyl not the fierceness laid out criminally and commonly subverts and lessens the Floyd family's battle," the lawyer proceeded.

Floyd was killed in May 2020 when Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin stooped on his neck for nine and a half minutes.

While the cop was sentenced for second-degree murder.

"They hit him with the fentanyl," said Kanye. "Assuming you look, the person's knee wasn't even on his neck like that."
